New Postdoc Position
A postdoctoral position is available in the Center for a Solar Powered Future (SPF2050) at the University of Texas at Austin. SPF2050 is an NSF-sponsored Industry/University Cooperative Research Center (IUCRC) whose vision is to enable the United States and the world to achieve a zero carbon footprint by 2050 with the use of solar energy as a resource.
The incumbent will work with Professors Brian Korgel and Michael Baldea to develop new analysis and optimization tools for incorporating solar power generation and electricity storage in energy systems at various scales, and is expected to interact closely with academic collaborators and industry partners, including researchers carrying out experimental work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy systems modeling, data analysis and mathematical optimization, and a good understanding of the challenges and opportunities presented by renewable energy.
