New Member Update: Welcome Naval Postgraduate School!

Naval Postgraduate School joins Sandia National Lab as a governmental agency who is a member of the Center. Heath Naquin has previously visited NPS as a part of their seminar series.

UT Austin, Texas A&M and Rice Form NSF I-Corps node

The three universities will form the Southwest Alliance for Entrepreneurial Innovation Node. Brian Korgel, Heath Naquin and Taylor Harvey participated in the I-Corps program earlier this year which resulted in a spin-out company founded by Taylor and a former student of Dr. Korgel's. The full press release related to the research node's founding can be found here.


The I-Corps node will be lead by Heath Naquin, our Managing Director.

IAB Meeting to be held in Fort Collins, CO this month

The meeting will take place on September 23rd and 24th on Colorado State University's campus. In addition to research updates, we will have presentations from prospective research sites Texas A&M University and Colorado School of Mines.

Brian Korgel to give two invited talks in Australia this month

Brian will be giving seperate talks at Australia's federal government agency for scientific research, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), and at University of New South Wales' School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering (SPREE).

Two UT Austin students to perform research abroad this summer via NSF grants

Thanks in part to the I/UCRC Innovation Fellows Program, Douglas Pernik will spend 3 months this summer in Melbourne working with researchers at CSIRO and the University of Melbourne.


Taylor Harvey was the recipient of the EAPSI Fellowship and will spend 8 weeks in Singapore collaborating with Nanyang Technological University.
